Steve Rees is a Queensland Law Society Accredited Family Law Specialist with a deep level of experience in Family Law, Succession Planning and Business Dealings and is recognised as one of Toowoomba’s senior practitioners.
For over 35 years Steve has been helping clients with matters ranging from the straight forward to those involving complex commercial and legal issues. His experience is deep and practical. And whilst fearlessly representing his clients he encourages them to remain in control of their matter and to focus on broad and long term implications of decisions as well those of immediate concern. He and his team take pride in focusing the need to provide accurate and reliable advice from the outset, to keep costs down and to avoid delays. As a law student he joined the Caxton Street Legal Service as a volunteer and developed a firm belief in the moral obligation of lawyers to serve the profession and the community as well as fearlessly protecting their clients’ rights. Steve continued with this commitment by being an active member of the local legal profession and serving the Toowoomba community. Steve has been appointed to the position of Senior Counsellor with the Queensland Law Society since 2009. He is often called upon to provide ethical and practical advice to other lawyers. Steve is also a nationally accredited mediator and a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner
